The FIRST Laser Guiding System (LGS) in the world for adding sand and rubber to artificial grass fields!
LGS is a fully automatic system that will keep the infill machine Sandmatic 1505
exactly on the required path and will leave more time to the operator to work on other important things.
The most effective way is to use two Sandmatic 1505´s with LGS in tandem
(as seen in the video). An experienced operator is able to monitor the work of two machines,
leaving more time for work to the other operator.
Laser Guiding System is useful:
For the customer of an artificial grass field:
Greater probability of the infill material not having any gaps or overlaps in the field.
A very even distribution of the material in the field will be reassuring when taking the FIFA * & FIFA ** tests.
For the operator of the machine:
LGS will keep your machine right on the track even when the regular guideline has been shifted by the wind
or by another worker (it´s very difficult to manually adjust the guideline in 100 m distances -
the mistake rate of the LGS is +/- 10 mm).
The operator will have more time to deal with other aspects: eg. the quality of the brushing, speed etc.
Because of LGS, workers are able to work late in the evening when the light is fading,
and for the professional, even when it is dark.
For the owner of the machine:
When set up, the machines follow the laser guidelines with precision therefore giving the operator more
time for other works; result, a quality finish. For financial reasons, two Sandmatic 1505´s with LGS can do the work
of three Sandmatic 1505´s without the LGS. This will significally decrease the cost.

Infill machines can be divided into two categories:
A - machines that can install one infill material (sand, rubber, etc) in one layer
B - machines that can install one infill material (sand, rubber, etc) in multiple layers
Sandmatic 1505 is a type A machine - it has significant advantages over type B machines eg:

The amount of the infill material being installed can be determined/checked
by weighing the material before beginning the work (the accuracy of the amount is +/- 150 g/m²)

The amount in the field will be determined by measuring the thickness after the installation and the actual error
will be measured in kilograms

Driving on the field with heavy machinery will be kept to a minimum, and when necessary, any turns

Tips for using the Sandmatic 1505
* If the fibres of the grass are heavily crushed down before the installment of the infill
then it´s good to brush the whole field with a maintenance tractor and a triangle brush -
you will accelerate the dissapearance of the morning dew and drying of the field.
* To measure the correct amount of infill material, it is easier to check without the brushes on and on an asphalt court -
with the machine in "work mode" drive over the 0,25 m² checking base (supplied with the machine by SMG),
weigh the amount and multiply it by four. If the m² amount is not equal to the given normal weight
to the m², then adjust the amount and recheck.
Go to the field only when the amount is exactly right.
Each machine is different and the checking needs to be done on every machine.
* Install the sand crossways and the rubber along the field if possible
- you will avoid possible overlapping and will spare the base.
* Never start from outside lines but from at least the third line.
* If it starts raining then turn off the machine and cover the material in the machine quickly
or the amount of the material will change.
* If the blending of different lines is not even then check the height
and rotation of the brushes.
We suggest to change all the brushes after you have installed approximately 30 000 m².
* Never let the fuel tank go empty - restarting is difficult and will damage the fuel pump.
If you have refueled in the rain then it´s useful to remove the tank during the next maintenance
and wash it with diesel fuel.
